The new Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City headquarters building is located at 1 Memorial Drive, south of Liberty Memorial. The new facility, with a $285 million dollar budget, was designed by a joint venture between Pei Cobb Freed out of New York City and Ellerbe Becket’s Kansas City office.

The new building encompasses over 900,000 gross square feet of facility space on a 15 acre site just south of the Liberty Memorial. The building complex is comprised of a 14 story office tower with 26,000 square foot column-free floor plates, a 2 story podium with 110,000 square foot floor plates, a 900 space parking garage and a remote vehicle inspection facility. The building supports the operations of nine major functions ranging from administrative, to information technology, to national call centers, to state-of-the art robotics and vault systems, all protected by a number of stringent security standards.

The project began in 1998 when the project team began looking at long-term solutions to solve the Bank’s existing space limitations. In 2002, the new building program was approved by the Board of Governors and in 2003 the approval was received to purchase the land. Construction began in late 2005.

The Bank employs approximately 900 staff within a number of broadly diverse operations and functions at its Kansas City headquarters. The Bank is the sole owner and tenant of this facility, which is maintained by an in-house facilities function.

If you outsource cleaning, you’re looking for an easier way to find high-quality providers who have the necessary management structure to deliver consistent service. If you have in-house staff, you need tools to manage your department and champion it to upper management. That’s why ISSA has created a valuable new resource to help you identify and implement the key elements of a well-managed and customer-centered cleaning operation -- to make your job easier.

The Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) is a business framework that is based on those universally-accepted management principles that have proven to be the cornerstones of successful organizations and is being used by facility managers as a powerful “pre-qualification” tool to help ensure that a cleaning organization is managed in a professional manner and dedicated to delivering quality services and meeting expectations. During the Webinar, you will learn how the Standard’s key management and operations elements can be used as a tool for benchmarking, evaluating, pre-qualifying and improving operations, including those that are performed in-house.

Objectives:

Understand management best practices for operational excellence
The business outcomes stemming from a quality service organization
How a facility manager can use the Standard and CIMS certification to assess and pre-qualify service providers and improve internal performance.
.
